It is time for spring cleaning at our home. With remodeling our second story bathroom, there is dust, plus the normal things that need deep cleaning. Yesterday I tackled the refrigerator. The drawers came out to the sudsy water in the sink. A new method tried for the shelves was putting them in the dishwasher. It worked! Some items, though not many, had to be tossed out. I put this job off, but then when I get it done it feels good. Next was the glass stove top with some stubborn burned on spots that have resisted all my efforts up to now. However, I tried something new: a dryer sheet. Pinterest gave me this method to get burned on pans clean by leaving a dryer sheet with some water in the pan to soak overnight. I did this with a wet dryer sheet on top of the burner. Several hours later I wiped the area with the wet sheet, then a sponge and bingo, the burned area was gone. Who knows what chemicals are in the dryer sheet.
No more writing about spring cleaning. Now I have to get back to it.
