Project Semicolon ; Choose Life

I have run into this ";" on Facebook, and finally looked into it and the group behind it. My research convinced me this is a very worthwhile and important group, with a Christian message of love and life.           www.projectsemicolon.com

Project Semicolon (The Semicolon Project) is a faith-based non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who are struggling with depression, suicide, addiction and self-injury. Project Semicolon exists to encourage, love and inspire.

My dad had a ring that said in Hebrew "Choose Life--L'Chaim". L'Chaim is also used in toasts at festive or important occasions in the Jewish tradition. I've always loved the word, it's meaning, and that my dad chose a ring with the Hebrew on it. I wish I remembered how my dad got his ring, as a gift from someone or from himself. He suffered from depression so wearing that ring had even a deeper meaning for him. I fight depression as well. With meds, a loving-supportive husband, and a life-saving counselor I manage to keep it at bay. Praise God.

From Wikipedia:
חַיִּים  ‎(khayímm pl (plural construct form חַיֵּי(plural only)
  1. life (period during which one is alive)
  2. life (state of being alive)

This "Project Semicolon" chooses life with it's mission and ministry in mental health especially. They use the sentence, "My story isn't over yet." So despite the struggle of depression or addiction ";" means choose life(see Deuteronomy 30:19)
